U.S. Rep. Mary Miller of Illinois called Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade a “victory for white life”.
Miller’s spokesman said she had intended to say it was a victory for a “right to life”.
The line was out of step with the disproportionate impact repeal will have on women of color.

The grandmother of multiple non-white grandchildren; including one with Down syndrome; was in a mention in her campaign.
